Personaly, i hate those yes/no messages.
I´ve already sold a 10/10 staff with nice upgrades to merchant, and bought some unwanted stuff, but its was because i was paying zero attention to the game and what was doing, so it war 100% my fault.
If they decide to implement that, ok, one more window to confirm, but still not signed
"Are you really really sure you want to sell 2 char carvings to merchant??? Maybe you can get a nice hat in next halloween" Yes/No/Ask merch to wisp offer (NO NOOB MERCHANT)

I beg to differ. When you selling something there is no way system can know if you really mean to sell it (tho it could check for simple things like item being green or priced say above 1k).
When you buy the same item with less than a second interval (especially if aprior knowledge is that specific item is not even meant to be bought twice EVER) it HAS TO raise the flag to the user.
As I said this is standard practice and shame on those who ignore it.

If it only trigger at the second click at the same piece it would be ok to me, since it will not change anything to people that buy armor carefully instead of trying to break the "click on mouse" world record.
The original ideia was everytime you click, and that would be boring

Eh, make your friend pay you back for being impatient :| Most people know that when something does buy right away, it's a lag spike, and they wait it out. Making a new update to help idiots from wasting their beloved money and materials would be pointless
@Ira Blinks: And that has what to do with lag? Yet again, intelligent people know not to click multiple times, warnings are nice in real life, but in a game, stupid people shouldn't get updates specifically for them
How about instead of asking for pointless updates that an intelligent(yes, it's tough to find intelligent people in a game, I know) person could avoid, ask for the updates we NEED, like fixing the collisions so I can stop getting stuck in mid-air

lol...you guys are treating him as if he's a stupid ass for letting this happen even though it's close to a universal 1-time mistake in this game.
Seriously tho, people are being jerks about it but the fact of the matter is it happens to pretty much everyone once. Yes it would be great if A.Net fixed it but adding a confirmation to crafting would unfortunately annoy a lot more people than it would please.
We all craft more than one of something once. It totally sucks when it happens (lucky for me, it was the 1.5 Droknar Knights Boots) but I doubt A.Net will change it anytime soon.
Personally, I think it would be a great addition for the 15k armorers to have a confirmation screen. 1.5k doesn't need it but FoW and the other 15k sets could really use it. That mistake hurts and not one of you who have had it happen can say you didn't wish there was some form of confirmation in place for the expensive stuff at that time....

Knowing and doin is two very different things. People get tired, people get annoyed and impatient. Repeating the action if first one didn't have any effect is very natural behavior. I don't see what does this have to do with inteligence.

How about we drop "instead" from this statement?
There are things that are very basic and HAS TO be done. There are things that are more complicated and can not be solved by 5 minute hack. General development logic is that you do small things first, so that bby the end of the day you have bunch of small things done, rather than just one big thing half done.
Collision detection problem is very important, yes, but it doesn't make this issue any less stupid, annoying and easily fixable.

Personally, I'd rather not have another part of the game have messages asking me if I'm sure everytime I want to do something. The whole 20 questions thing in Factions to enter towns was annoying enough.
I've had this happen before. I play on wireless, so lag can be completely random. I've learned that, if you craft one piece of armor at a time, and only carry the necessary materials, or at least money for that one piece, then you won't accidently craft more than one when a lag spike occurs.
I think if they were to add this in, so that it doesn't annoy everyone who wants to craft anything at all, they would make it so that a message comes up if you craft the same thing again. Even if you crafted it 6 years ago, if you have it in your inventory or have it equipped and try to craft another one, it will ask you "Are you sure you want to craft this? You already have one in your inventory."
Then when people return from their lag spike, they find this message, and just click no, then they only have 1 helmet. Unless they just start clicking all over the place and click the yes button...then thats their fault for clicking everywhere while lagging out.
Also good advice for everyone, "If you already hit the print button, and its not printing, wait a while to see. Do NOT keep hitting the print button. You will end up printing your project multiple times." (I love computer class in high school.)

Just had to throw that little one in there.
Honestly, its a one-time mistake. You do something THAT big, you realize it and hopefully never do it again. With most people I seem to encounter on the issue hit happened MUCH earlier on with less expensive items.
I don't know though, to me, if I click a button that says "buy" twice, I would expect to buy it twice. After all, that's what happens at a merchant if you attempt to buy say two Salvage Kits.
Does ANet have to make a notice that monsters can kill you if your life drops to zero? I guess some people have to learn things in more painful methods.

Lag is your problem not theirs. Click once and you know you got the armor. Sorry for your loss, but thats life.
It also may be your failure to pay attention, we all do it. Once i bought 200 dye removers instead of 200 ales. Just smack yourself in the head and laugh.

The last thing this game needs is to be dumbed down with lots of unnecessary "are you sure?" notifications. The fact NPCs' dialog pops up in Factions is bad enough.
Make your friend pay you back overtime for being impatient. Much better solution.

Well, he can have a major set as well, since he has 3 helms...
Also, perhaps ANet could add the following additional warning messages to the game:
Are you sure you want to use Frenzy while being attacked by this mob ?
Are you sure you want to pay for this run ahead of time ?
Are you sure you don't want to switch off your vampiric weapon while you're standing here waiting for the mission to start ?
Are you sure you want to cast Mending ?
